On 14.07.2023, we had the special honour of presenting our project during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Stadtwirtschaft. Together with the scholarship holders Christiane Langer (TiNo der Dino) and Bao Hoang (BaoBao), we presented the Gründungsgarage – what we do and the challenges we face.
Especially interesting was the discussion about the dilemma social entrepreneurs often face: being caught between funding pots – too social for economic funding, too economic for social funding. There seems to be already a draft law in this direction, Ms Baerbock wanted to take this away and examine it. The scholarship holders then presented their projects. Bao was asked whether he would have moved away from Chemnitz without the support of the Gründungsgarage. His clear answer: No! He emphasised the enormous potential that the city has to offer.
We are grateful for this valuable opportunity to advance our work and raise awareness for the needs of social entrepreneurs.
