Are you looking for a light-flooded space to develop your ideas? Then you’ve come to the right place.

In our rooms you can devote yourself undisturbed to your own projects. The rooms are suitable for seminars, workshops and conferences, but also for theatre and dance rehearsals, as a studio or for office work at individual workstations. The rooms and workstations can be rented by the hour, day or week.

Please note that only our workshop room NISCHL can be rented individually. The other two rooms can only be used if they are rented as a whole.

is our largest room with 36 square meters. It is equipped with a dance floor. With a few simple steps our ZENTI can be transformed into a seminar room.

has, from our point of view, the most charm. This room is suitable for workshops and seminars, as a large screen is available here. There is plenty of space for creativity on 26 square meters.


invites you to linger. You can retreat a little from the working atmosphere in the 12 square meters room. You can let your thoughts circle here or just relax. For theatre rehearsals it is ideally suited as a dressing room.

You can rent two types of co-working spaces from us. All workstations are equipped with at least access to a printer and scanner as well as Wi-Fi and sufficient lighting and power supply.

Two of our (fixed) workstations are fully equipped. In addition to the basic equipment, this includes a screen, keyboard, mouse and webcam.

Don’t need all that stuff? Then you can hire one of the mobile workstations. These workstations can be folded up and down as required. This allows us to offer more workstations without restricting the hire of our rooms. Workstations are available in all our rooms.

By remodelling our previous warehouse, we were also able to create additional workstations here. In the event of an event, it is now possible to use one of the two workstations in our LULATSCH creative cabin.

You will find Gründungsgarage at Jakobstraße 46, 09130 Chemnitz. Our rooms are accessible via stairs and the rooms are wheelchair accessible. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible. Parking is readily available in the surrounding area. You can reach Gründungsgarage via bus line 82 (Uferstraße or Zietenstraße stop) and tram line 5 (Tschaikowskistraße stop). Please contact us if we can help facilitate your visit.

Enjoy a retreat without giving up the amenities of the city: in the nearby neighborhood in south Sonnenberg there are studio houses, the off-stage Komplex, the reading café Kaffeesatz, the trendy pub Lokomov and much more. In our building you can become familiar with the writing and printing workshop as well as illustrators and graphic artists.

Our rooms are equipped with tables, chairs, a screen and a dance floor. Individually the rooms can be rearranged according to your wishes. It is also possible to rent additional technology, see a list below. You have free access – 24 hours a day – and you can make a coffee or a little snack in the small communal kitchen. In addition to using the entire room, individual workstations can also be rented. These are well equipped with screen, webcam, keyboard, mouse, printer and scanner as well as WLAN.
